Prof. Walter Mebane, the University of Michigan political science and statistics professor, who has studied the Iranian election results quite carefully, updated his famous write-up on Iranian election and revealed some striking results in his new update. His studies show that: 1) ``In many ballot boxes the votes for Karoubi and Rezaei were thrown out while in many others extra votes were added for Ahmadinejad.", and 2) ``Without the ballot-box stuffing fraud,..., the election outcome should have been at least a runoff between Ahmadinejad and Mousavi. Other kinds of fraud that may have also affected the results are of course not to be ruled out."
